Dear 9th Grade Students and 9th Grade Parent/Guardian(s):


Welcome to North Babylon High School!  We hope that you are having a happy and healthy summer.  You are about to embark on a four-year journey that will be thought provoking and fulfilling for you.  Our faculty and staff work together to provide opportunities that will enrich your lives and challenge your intellect.  When you return to school on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, we hope you do so with enthusiasm and know that the key to your success is the effort you put forth each day.

 

Below you will find information regarding the mandatory Orientation.  I look forward to meeting each of you!


STUDENTS:


As part of your orientation to North Babylon High School, you and your parents/guardians will be required to attend one ninety-minute session during the month of August. This year there will be two morning sessions and one evening session, the times and dates are as follows: 

           

                                     Thursday, August 21, 2025 @ 9:00 am and 6:00pm

                                         Friday, August 22, 2025 @ 12:30 pm

During your August meeting, we will gather in the NBHS Auditorium and students/parents/guardians will receive important information about schedules, lockers, etc. Additionally, you will be given pertinent facts about the Attendance Policy, Renaissance, Code of Conduct, Student email accounts, Smartpass, PTSA, PASA, and of course, being a successful ninth grader.


       A FINAL REMINDER


ATTENDANCE AT THE 9th GRADE ORIENTATION IS MANDATORY FOR STUDENTS!


PARENTS/GUARDIANS:


ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND!!!


            Parents/Guardians will report directly to the auditorium and are asked to sit with their children.
