Budget Vote PSA

Students in the North Babylon High School Television Broadcasting class recently produced an exclusive interview with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Graham to discuss the upcoming school budget vote and a change in the polling location. Under the guidance of their teacher James Avila, the student-led production showcased their skills both on and off camera. Ayden Sproul was the on-air interviewer, while Myriam Abbas worked the switchboard, Gabriel Rivera ran the sound/teleprompter, Joshua Castelli produced the graphics and Milani Russell and Kasey Ferris were operating the camera.

On Monday, April 28, North Babylon High School’s Alternative High School RISE students were visited by Deputy Sheriff Investigators Michael Kern and Christopher Holfestern. Investigators Kern and Holfestern shared the realities and dangers of drug use in today’s world. Through real-world examples and open conversation, they connected with students and encouraged them to make positive choices and focus on building a strong future. The presentation emphasized the importance of personal responsibility, resilience, and becoming productive members of society.
